Training on a local scale ...

In addition, since our national association is made up of members from a variety of American cities, our local colleagues meet frequently to educate each other on ways to improve the quality of service provided to guests with an emphasis on local knowledge.

Members in metropolitan areas gather monthly or quarterly, often hosting guest speakers and Visitors Bureaus in an effort to widen their local knowledge base.

Student Outreach ...

Les Clefs d’Or works with many colleges and universities to teach the concierge profession to young hospitality students.

Wherever it can, Les Clefs d’Or hopes to spark interest in the concierge profession.  Most recently, The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) in Las Vegas partnered with Les Clefs d'Or USA to create a certificate program in their Executive Diploma department.  Called Art of the Concierge (AOC), the course is designed to provide comprehensive training and an insider’s view into world-class concierge service skills. A 15-hour externship is required.  This course is one of the most comprehensive concierge training programs in the nation. The instructors, guest speakers and Advisory Board members represent some of the most prominent individuals in the field.

Other institutions, such as Cornell, Penn State, Johnson & Wales, and Stockton College, have reached out to Les Clefs d’Or members to bring our prestige and knowledge to educational symposia and full-semester courses for their hospitality students.

Les Clefs d’Or USA is able to offer scholarships to hospitality students through the Marjorie Silverman Education Fund, a fund that was established as a way to acknowledge the lifetime achievements of one of its most prestigious members, Ms. Marjorie Silverman.
