Qualifications for Membership

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, of good moral character, and employed as a full-time concierge in the lobby of a transient hotel.

Applicants must have at least five years experience within the hotel industry (in any capacity), and at least three years experience as a full-time, lobby-level concierge in a hotel.

The Application Process

Applicants must request an application in writing, by email: Info@lcdusa.org

An application will be emailed to the applicant if he or she meets all the qualifications for membership.

Completed applications are then mailed to the Boston Headquarters along with a non-refundable check in the amount of $100 and the following six documents scanned and copied on to compact disc:

  1. Two passport photos of the applicant.
  2. Photo of the applicant's work area.
  3. Two Sponsorship documents from current, full Les Clefs d'Or USA members in good standing.
  4. Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s general manager dated within three months of the date on the application.
  5. Business card showing the "Concierge" title.
  6. Letters of verification confirming past and present hotel employment.

Once the application is reviewed by the Executive Assistant for completeness and compliance with all qualifications, it is forwarded to the Director of Membership for distribution to the regional committees for processing. (Les Clefs d’Or USA is organized into three separate regions: eastern, central, western.)
